Gwamba promises thrills at 15th anniversary fête

It has not been an easy path for rapper Gwamba to be where he is today; he has had to hassle to build his music brand.

Now he takes to the stage on Friday at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe to celebrate his 15th anniversary in the music game which has seen him releasing albums and several songs.

“Music is part of me. I love it and I am thankful to God for the talent,” the ‘Mukadalitsa’ and ‘Fumbi’ maker, who is also Betway brand ambassador, said.

The award winning musician, who in his music feats has also collaborated with several artists both local and international, warms up the gig with a Meet and Greet Guide at Illusionz at Golden Peacock Complex on Friday night until late.

The Meet and Greet Guide which will have VIP and VVIP ticket auction and merchandise give aways, will have appearances from Gwamba, Kell Kay, Charisma, Saint, Lulu, Aidfest and Kineo, Teddy, Praise Umali and Emmie Deebo.

Meanwhile, South African artists Focalistic and Kamo Mphera will jet into the country on Friday.

Focalistic said in a video posted on social media that he was set for the concert and called upon fun lovers to come in large numbers and celebrate the best of music and Gwamba’s 15th anniversary.

Apart from Gwamba as the headliner, Focalistic and Mphera, the other artists performing at the concert include Amapiano star Zeze Kingston, Eli Njuchi, Lulu, Emmie Deebo, Gibo Pearson, Fada Moti, Chizmo Sting, Charisma, Aidfest and Kineo, Wikise, Malinga, Teddy Makadi and Praise Umali.

The concert which has been supported by several companies will be hosted by Times Group presenter Black Jak and Priscilla Nsane.
