Miss and Mrs Culture Malawi 2024 edition will be held on November 29 2024 at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
Organisers Lush Africa Foundation said on Wednesday that 10 contestants would be competing for the Miss Culture Malawi title while four would be battling it out for the Mrs Culture Malawi crown.
Lush Africa Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Kljajic said they were set for the fourth edition of the pageant, which is expected to bring on board several guests, both local and international.
“People should expect a different pageant that will respect the country’s culture,” Kljajic said.
She emphasised the pageant’s focus on promoting cultural values.
The winners are expected to receive prizes worth K1 million, a trip to South Africa and scholarships.
Meanwhile, the reigning Miss Culture Malawi Ireen Navicha has since said she is looking forward to handing over the crown.
“I wish the next winner well. This platform offers immense opportunities for growth and learning,” Navicha, who leaves the country today to represent Malawi at Miss Teen Universe in South Africa, said.
The Miss and Mrs Culture 2024 is expected to be spiced up by performances from, among others, Temwah.
Launched in 2021, Miss and Mrs Culture has grown in popularity, promoting cultural values and empowering women.
