Gospel musician Rudo Chakwera has signed a partnership with regional creative stable Bridge Afric and Jacobs Events owned by fellow gospel artist Wendy Harawa.
In a brief announcement, Chakwera said she is excited with the opportunity.
“In the past, I have worked with my team here in Malawi and it is time to take the music and the ministry to the rest of the continent. I am glad that these two companies are working with me. I will gladly follow their lead,” she said.
And in an interview on Thursday, Chakwera said the partnership will cover branding, music promotion and public relations engagements.
She said: “I know this will entail new adventures and challenges, but I am ready for it.”
In a separate interview, Harawa said the deal has the potential to be a game-changer for Rudo and the Malawi music industry as a whole. She said Chakwera will gain access to a broader audience, resources and expertise which will allow her to expand her music horizon.
