Lake of Stars has announced South African singer Sho Madjozi as the regional headliner for the 2024 festival.

In a statement yesterday, organisers said the award-winning singer will join the long list of other talented artists to grace the Lake of Stars stage.

Sho Madjozi: I will perform at Lake of Stars

“Sho Madjozi first captured global attention with her hit song John Cena, earning the BET Award for Best International Newcomer. Establishing herself as the best female artist at the South African Music Awards in 2021,” reads the statement in part.

The statement further said Lake of Stars will be held from September 6 to 8 at Fish Eagle Bay Lodge in Nkhotakota District.

In a video message, shared on her official Instagram page, Sho Madjozi confirmed her participation at the festival.

“What’s up Malawi, this is Sho Madjozi. I will be performing at the Lake of Stars at Fish Eagle Bay Lodge. So, tiyeni tikaipatse moto [come let’s enjoy together],” she said, proving that she can speak Malawi’s vernacular.

Joining Sho Madjozi at Lake of Stars 2024 will be a stellar lineup of artists, including Malawi’s Zeze Kingston, Emmie Deboo, Chmba, Temwah, Mumba Yachi from Zambia and Lindsay Chamangurangura of Zimbabwe.
