Mibawa’s Kanema M’manja Live Streaming App: A Game Changer

Mibawa Limited has officially launched its Kanema M’manja live streaming app, a move poised to revolutionize the local television industry.

Speaking at the launch event in Blantyre, Executive Director John Nthakomwa said: “The free-to-air model in the country is not sustainable. Kanema M’manja will change the local television industry as content will no longer be free.”

Nthakomwa expressed gratitude to the Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA) for reducing data costs, making it possible to launch the app.

MACRA Director General Daud Suleman praised Mibawa’s move to digital surfaces, ensuring local content availability on apps.

“Mibawa has taken a right step and direction. As MACRA, we applaud Mibawa for championing the move of local content producers to digital surfaces.”

The app launch coincides with Mibawa Limited’s 10th anniversary, celebrating a decade of growth and innovation.

The launch event featured performances and awards distribution to Mibawa Limited staff members, recognizing their contributions to the company’s success.
