South Africa artist, Zeze Kingston dates Social Weekend

Amapiano musician Pcee is set to perform at the Southern Region Intercollege Socialz sharing the stage with local acts such as Zeze Kingston, Patience Namadingo and Fada Moti at Malawi Business and Applied Sciences (Mubas) Ground in Blantyre on Saturday.

Organisers Nyasa Music Group and Milly Entertainment have since promised nothing but thrills during the event that is also expected to bring on board the country’s South Africa-based musician Gemini Major, Kineo and Aidfest, Trappy Beatz and Goodboy Gravity.

The gig will also feature DJs Hype, Flame, Boo and Drew on the decks.

Nyasa Music Group Director James Makunje said on Thursday that hosting the event is part of their ongoing commitment to creating vibrant and engaging experiences for the Malawian entertainment sector.

“While Nyasa had its own unique legacy in bringing people together, we are building on that foundation with fresh energy, new vision and a modern approach to entertainment,” Makunje said.

He further said that the event is being led by talented team of student leaders, music lovers and industry professionals, who are passionate about promoting local and international talent.

“Our goal is to provide a platform for trending but also up-and-coming artists, give students an unforgettable experience and foster a sense of community and cultural exchange through music,” Makunje said.

He said that at the end of it all, they want to establish an annual tradition that continues to grow, leaving students with lasting memories and setting a new standard for college entertainment.

“All the artists lined up are confirmed and so, we are good to go. We will be hosting a series of international shows in November and December so, people should be on the lookout for communication,” Makunje said.

DJ Milly said the event is a continuation of their trade of hosting classic events in the country.

“We recently hosted a top event in Blantyre which attracted a huge crowd. It was all fun and people enjoyed the vibes. It will be the same with this event,” he said.
