Renowned fashion designer Xandria left the country on Monday for Kigali, Rwanda, to participate in activities at the Youth Connekt Africa Summit.
It starts on November 8 and ends on November 10 2024.
The platform is an annual gathering that brings together over 20,000 participants from across Africa.
They include heads of State, policy makers, entrepreneurs and youth leaders.
The activity will see Xandria showcasing cutting-edge innovations in fashion, where she is also set to be part of a discussion on ‘Youth in Trade, Entrepreneurship and Access to Finance’.
Sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme, Xandria said yesterday that she was honoured to represent Malawi at the summit.
It is premised on empowering young people by addressing challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth across the continent.
“My goal is to highlight the importance of accessible fashion, share my experiences as a female entrepreneur and discuss ways of supporting Africa’s next generation of leaders,” Xandria said.
Xandria is a fashion designer who started her brand House of Xandria in 2015.
Through her fashion powerhouse, which creates what she describes as high-end clothes and accessories for both men and women, she focuses on bringing about change using fashion.
She also holds the annual All Shades of Beautiful Fashion.
